This is our special place...we've actually been faithful customers for almost 40 years! This is a very small restaurant...about 9 tables (2-tops and one 4-top). They do not take reservations, first come first serve. Service is excellent and they turn the tables quickly. It is expected they each guest will order an entree (no splitting). Food is Northern Italian, and very good! Menu selection is nicely varied, especially when you consider their diminutive size. The dessert tray should not be overlooked either! They have an excellent selection of wine . This is consistently ranked first in surveys of local favorite spots! They do a robust take out business, so if you don't want to wait in line, order out. This is not the fanciest decor, does not have a fabulous view, but it is right in Belmont Shore, with plenty of strolling options before or after dinner. Open for lunch and dinner.

Have been going here for years, my husband's family for many years before that. Happy they survived the pandemic. Small family owned (two locations as one is in lgb) food is north Italian and always amazing with great specials that change often and very quality seafood and wine selection. Happy to continue to support family owned quality Italian local restaurant. Wish I took photos tonight but I ate everything without thinking about photos. I always go for the specials because they always are amazing.

I was suffering from cabin fever and just reeling from the Omnicron variant of the Covid-19 variation and just decided what the hell ive tested negative rice as of recent so let's tackle the town by chasing the best carbonara plate wishing a 30 mile radius! That being said I called my date and charged on into the nite! We were not disappointed! Though this little slice of heaven called 'Cafe Gazelle' sits tucked away in the southwest corner of 2nd and LaVerne , it makes up for its hidden self in great family business, attentive waiters and an air of Italian perfection that swells over and spills into the this hidden in plain site community we have all grown to know and love called Belmont Shore. My date ordered a Pinot Grigio and though she is quite picky settled for a delicious spaghetti and meatballs dish with a delectable in house only meat sauce! I happily ordered the carbonara dish which melted in my mouth (I honestly wish I could wrap my date in bacon right now) yummy! Though we did not finish our plates the doggie bag home was to be enjoyed after a bit of whoopy and Netflix and chill - needless to say both leftovers never saw the light of day , next morning. Ambiance - Sexy tight and provoking all at the same damn time Food and Wine - Thoroughly & insatiably delicious Location - Easily accessible and hidden in plain site Staff- Attentive, professional, mindful, and at the patron's disposal Dating Grade - Bar none and second to none! We will be back it's this kind of place that will improve your sex life if that's any consolation !
